ODBCExpress is distributed as ShareWare. It may be used for evaluation purposes only. There is no functional difference between the unregistered and registered releases. However, all unregistered releases will display a registration message whenever the library is loaded into memory.

A professional release of ODBCExpress (source code included) costs $399 US per developer licence. Volume discounts are available on request. Each registered copy of ODBCExpress grants one developer a non-exclusive licence to include and distribute the ODBCExpress library royalty-free within one or more compiled applications. Again, royalty-free use is with the proviso that the resulting application does not constitute competition for ODBCExpress.

At this stage, we're keen to keep the distribution and support of the product as 'friction-free' as possible. Being developers ourselves, we know that the developer community is far more interested in fast but stable tools and knowledgeable technical support than in glossy manuals and the like! (hey - we might get there someday!). In line with this strategy:

• The people supporting ODBCExpress will be those who developed it. We believe that nothing beats talking direct to the developers themselves.
• All documentation for the product is distributed in the form of a Windows Help file. A keyword file for integration with Delphi's Help files provides context-sensitive help within the IDE.
• An ODBCExpress order can be placed through the online ordering system, or an ODBCExpress order form with the credit card information can be faxed to us - see the details below.
• Upon registration, a registered copy of ODBCExpress will be mailed to you as a mail attachment.
